Spent abrasive is expelled from the unit's abrasive cutting basin by the automatic abrasive flushing system. When the BigBags in the flushing system are full, they are removed for drying and replaced with new ones. The abrasive can be disposed of when it is nearly dry, or it can be given to the abrasive supplier for recycling.
